We all went to Fishkill Farms in upstate New York a couple of weeks ago. Okay, so a bit late with this post but…This is a huge ecological, pick-ur-own apple orchard and farm and we were there for their pre-Thanksgiving festivities. The girls had a ball eating corn, and interacting with the animals and picking apples. I recently found out that FDR was buddies with the original owner and would hang out there and even brought Winston Churchill along for a visit! The farm is still in the same family and they have almost completely transitioned to organic status. This was the second time we were there and we so enjoy the rustic feel of this place, and plan to go every year. Even though apple picking is over, their farm store is open all year. Well worth checking out.
