Last Sunday, I made my way to Bubble London to have a sneak peek at the Spring/Summer 15 collections from the best childrenswear brands around.
Having worked on the event for over 6 years, it was lovely to catch-up with some old friends, but most importantly to see that Bubble is still a great platform for new and emerging talent.
And I have gathered together some of my highlights…
1 & 2: Braveling
Designed by the lovely Carly Hardy, this quirky British brand offers comfy, cosy and downright cool tights. I just love the vivid and playful designs and was excited to find out that the range is expanding.
3 &4: Amy & Ivor
Designed and handmade in the UK, these soft structured moccasins are irresistible. For S/S 15, the ‘classic mocassin’ is being revamped and new colours being introduced.
5 & 6: The Bright Company
Again, it’s a brand designed and manufactured in the UK that let children be children without gender stereotyping. The pyjamas and bedding range are all about bright colours and strong graphics.
7 & 8: Ponytail
Here we’re talking stylish and quality products for modern moms and our little ones. The changing mats, diaper bags and backpacks are simple, durable and beautifully designed and manufactured in Spain.
9 & 10: ABC123me
ABC123 launched at the show and was named runner- up to Plumeti Rain in Bubble’s Rising Star competition. These super soft T-shirts are a collaboration with cult skateboard photographer ASmith and we can see older boys rocking them with jeans.
Last but not least, Milk & Biscuits was MY highlight of the show. A refreshing non-floral take on summer for this quirky British/Chinese brand. Gorgeous blues, vintage waterproof raincoats and floaty dresses. The designer Kate has also collaborated with English illustrator Naomi Wilkinson on a beautiful ‘Swimmers’ print that appears on the A-line jacket.
Bubble London will return on 1 & 2 February 2015!
