Ketiketa – In The Wild Woods

I am loving the Winter 2011 collection, “In the Wild Woods” from Ketiketa, set amongst Gaël Caye’s paper art installation. As you probably know, on Bellissima we love art installations! I met up with one of the lovely designers of Ketiketa, Angele Camus (no relation to Albert Camus) at Playtime this summer and was so enthralled with their lovely block prints. She even demonstrated for me how they are made with a block stamp and everything. They specialize in traditional Nepalese textiles, creating clothes, bed clothes and decorative accessories for children from newborn to 10 years old. Ketiketa works with natural fabrics promoting traditional techniques, working with carvers, printers, and small sewing workshops with ethical production principles. I like the way they blend boho-chic with exotic prints and designs inspired by many cultures. Ketiketa is available all over the world in boutiques or online. Check their website for details. And they also sell stamps so kids can get in on the action with block printing themselves-even if it’s just on paper. These are available on Smallable. Can hardly wait to try these out with the girls!
