Oilily – Adventurous Russia

I love the Dutch brand, Oilily. I always have. In fact, it was the very first post on my blog ever! (see post) And I was extremely touched and moved actually (more than a normal person should be) when I heard that the original owners Willem and Marieke Olsthoorn, bought their beloved brand back (that they had started 40 years earlier) when the new owners lost the quality, the special touch – and in 2009 went bankrupt. Well, they are well and truly back with their special style.

And I had the pleasure of meeting the great people who represent Oilily at ENK Children’s Club. This is their Autumn/Winter 2011 collection: Adventurous Russia. Although I only picture part of the girl’s range, it also covers boys, babies, and a women’s range as well. As usual, Oilily does not disappoint with super bright colors, duo functions, amusing details, colorful woolen embroidery, and detailed all-over prints. I love that bright pink dress, blue plaid bubble skirt and those bright jackets with Russian doll prints. Check this website for a complete list of boutiques that carry Oilily and a list of online retailers. For a start, there is Oilily ShopUSA.

And as I was writing this, it donned on me that both my little darlings had Christmas dresses last year from, yes, you guessed it, Oilily! And you thought I was kidding when I said I love Oilily. See below.
